Our Point of View

A mentally fatigued brain will decide to postpone tasks, even when that brain has concluded that the tasks are necessary, important and beneficial to get done now. These fatigued brains will choose to do some other unrelated task instead. Usually these substitute tasks are perceived by the brain as easier to do, when contrasted with the tasks that are being postponed. Easier means requiring less energy expenditure. The lack of desire to just get the necessary tasks out of the way is an indication of low mental energy reserves that present as mental fatigue. We think that the mental fatigue is fundamentally set-up by regularly, and usually poor sleep performance. The poor sleep is also a result of low mental energy reserves. Therefore, poor sleep performance and mental fatigue reinforce each other in a negative spiral of cause and effect.

Our Lesson Plan

Tutor these brains to learn to be efficient during the day and the brains will build up the mental energy reserves necessary to support good quality sleep performance. Neurofeedback is an assistive technology process that can teach these brains to function efficiently. As they begin to learn to use mental energy wisely, they begin to sleep better and soon discover more ability to stay focused and perform more effectively and successfully. Procrastination becomes unnecessary!
