Aging is all part of the design of being human . The older we get the more fragile and subject to injury we become. Since the brain is the team manager our focus on the brain’s efficiency becomes more significant. Aging brains tend to use more energy than they did when we were younger. It just takes more energy to get the same tasks done than it did when we were youths. Good sleep is necessary to age well, but aging disrupts good sleep. Take heart! The brain can be trained (at any age) to function at peak efficiency which provides a means to building and maintaining mental vigor through good energy reserves. You’ll still die someday, but wouldn’t you like to finish strong? Want to side step dementia and ward off disease? Want to manage worry better? Then you better find a means to maintain good mental energy!
Our Lesson Plan
Tutor aging brains to learn to be efficient during the day and the brains will build up the mental energy reserves necessary to support good quality sleep performance. Neurofeedback is an assistive technology process that can teach these brains to function efficiently. As they begin to learn to use mental energy wisely, they begin to sleep better and soon discover more ability to stay focused and perform more efficiently, effectively and successfully.
