"Good Sleep Is Essential To Focus"
"Better Focus Means Better Memory"
"Waking Refreshed Means Sleep Was Good!"
Our Point of View
Brains never sleep! Sleep is an activity performed by the brain in order to organize its knowledge and experiences. The brain sleep activity is called “consolidation”. Good consolidation results in re-energized mental energy reserves, improved comprehension and peak performance in cognitive function. Sleep poorly and you’ll wake mentally fatigued and ill- prepared to face the new day. Poor sleep performance in our view means that there were not sufficient mental energy reserves to allow the brain to do its consolidation well. Attempting to sleep after a mentally exhausting day is a formula for poor sleep performance. In order to sleep well you MUST have adequate mental energy reserves when attempting to begin sleep.
Our Lesson Plan
Tutor these fatigued brains to learn to be efficient during the day and the brains will build up the mental energy reserves necessary to support good quality sleep performance. Neurofeedback is an assistive technology process that can teach these brains to function efficiently. As they begin to learn to use mental energy wisely, they begin to perform sleep better and soon discover more ability to be refreshed, vitalized and perform effectively and successfully. Mental vigor is reinstated and ability to sleep well is habituated!
